- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, document, and implement a comprehensive, risk-based approach to third-party risk management.
- Conduct new and periodic third-party risk assessments, ensuring thorough understanding and quantification of associated risks.
- Identify and communicate third-party risks to relevant stakeholders and participate in special projects and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards while promoting TPRM education and awareness throughout the enterprise.
- Partner with Sales, Account Managers, Compliance, and SMEs to complete client due diligence requests and questionnaires.
- Participate in client due diligence onsite visits and develop a comprehensive and consistent approach to due diligence response.
- Monitor confidentiality and distribution of Securian documentation regularly requested during client due diligence.
- Interpret, author, and maintain TPRM policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with the TPRM team.
- Drive workflows, policies, and procedures for risk assessments in partnership with internal Subject Matter Experts.
- Ensure communication of changes to established policies and procedures to relevant parties and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- 5+ years of TPRM, legal, and/or equivalent experience (Compliance, Fraud, Business, etc.)
- Knowledge and application of third-party risk concepts, TPRM best practices, and related professional practices
- Ability to lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders solving complex risk issues, risk quantification, identifying leading metrics and controls
- Experience applying risk methodologies and concepts to situations in the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize many concurrent tasks
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to work effectively, establish credibility and influence at all levels
- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking
- Knowledge of risk quantification, risk reporting solutions, and ability to perform advanced reporting and data analysis highly preferred
- CTPRP and/or other comparable third-party risk management certifications (or desire to pursue such certifications)
- Financial services and/or insurance industry experience
