    About Us

    The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 28,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th, and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana, and Villa Park.

    In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a "unified" school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District.

    The District has a long history of excellence that continues to grow and be enriched by the accomplishments of its students, teachers, staff and community.

    • Written response to supplemental questions #1 and #2 below: •Describe the leadership characteristics of a successful High School Principal in improving student achievement for all learners and how you would expand the academic options to increase equity and access for all students. Explain how you would use the Local Control and Accountability Plan to achieve this goal and how your vision and mission would work to close the achievement gap for all students at your high school.
    • Identify how you would establish and maintain excellent relationships with the community and institutions of higher education. Explain how you have already demonstrated these characteristics through your educational experiences to date.

    Requirements:

    • Five years of successful teaching experience, plus two years of successful administrative experience at the secondary level.
    • Masters degree or equivalent.
    • Previous administrative experience preferred.
