- Process and review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Obtain necessary approvals and ensure all invoices are coded correctly and entered into the accounting system in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues with outstanding invoices.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments (ACH) for vendor payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Generate and distribute 1099 forms to vendors and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in accounts payable operations.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience processing full cycle accounts payable in a manufacturing or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable processes and 1099 reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IRS regulations related to 1099 reporting and experience processing 1099 forms.
- Experience with electronic payment processing (ACH) is a plus.
