- Coordinate somatic care with external providers
- Prescribe and administer medications and ongoing treatment for psychiatric patients
- Order and interpret lab and other diagnostic studies as needed to provide high level of care
- Collaborate with family, physicians, and other treatment team members
- Develop, implement and document psychiatric care plans and document all services in electronic health records
- Maintains client's electronic medical records and other necessary records including documentation of consultations and contact with internal and external providers
- Other duties as assigned
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nurses. Completion of state approved Nurse Practitioner certification program preferred.
- Experience in medication management in Outpatient Mental healthcare setting, and substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing care management within the scope of licensure for members of a SPMI population who have complex and chronic care needs.
The NP works on a multidisciplinary ACT team, providing nurse practitioner services to an assigned caseload, including assessment and prescription of medications within the scope of licensure.
