The Speech Language Pathologist will provide support to the case conference committee in identifying areas of needs for students with speech and language disorders. Will provide consultative and direct services and ensure staff are aware of development needs to make appropriate recommendations.
Provide diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and/or voice disorders in cooperation with appropriate district supervisors, teachers parents and students.
Skilled in basic computer operations - Word spreadsheets internet use data management including but not limited to Google platforms
Experience preferred in the school setting Qualifications A Speech-Language Pathologist must hold a valid license from the Indiana Department of Education Division of Professional Standards the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency IPLA Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ASHA is preferred but not required Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply Licensing Area(s) include but are not limited to Speech Pathologist Speech Hearing Therapist or Communication Disorders This position requires an active driver's license a reliable vehicle willingness travel locally Essential Functions Purposeful Planning And Preparation Utilize current comprehensive content/specialty area knowledge planning Utilize current appropriate practices procedures screening evaluations Interpret assessment results write reports placement/service recommendations Effective Instruction Treatment And/Or Instructional Support Maintain therapy space well organized materials available when needed Implement appropriate progress monitoring procedures Promote generalization across settings Develop student understanding lesson objectives Utilize strategies promote student engagement Create culture respect collaboration Leadership And Professional Responsibilities Advocate student success Fulfill professional TOR/Caseload responsibilities Supervise assigned therapists assistant state supervision guidelines Efficiently manage scheduling sessions Prepare participate case conferences Develop quality IEPs enable students master goals Collaborate communicate professionally promote student success Engage families learning Contribute school district co-op Advance professional skills knowledge Carry out Due Process responsibilities as requested Core Professionalism Must demonstrate consistent attendance on-time arrivals departures work related functions Must follow local state Federal laws related school community established policies procedures maintain credentialing Must interact colleagues administrators parents/families community members respectful manner Exhibit behavior accordance established Earlywood Educational Evaluation System EES code conduct performs function job ethical manner Work Environment The work environment fast-paced minimal high noise levels This position requires working independently part team Verbal personal contact daily basis Contract hours align school hours building(s) assigned Physical Effort The physical demands described representative those that must met employee successfully perform essential functions Reasonable accommodations made individuals disabilities perform essential functions Attachment(s):
