As a postpartum registered nurse you will assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments assist physician in the examination of patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures administer medication as prescribed initiate regulate and monitor intravenous infusions deliver patient care competently interact with family and patient in sharing care plan inform patient and family of hospital procedures make referral regarding patient care needs delegate tasks to support staff.
