    Description


    OverviewHighlight Technologies is seeking a Desktop Engineer I to provide technical support to a 24x7x365 center for the Small Business Administration (SBA) IT service center.

    ResponsibilitiesRespond to client support requests and determine the nature of their problem or issue.
    Provide onsite and remote support to clients for hardware and computer equipment.
    Establish, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and computer equipment.
    Possess hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments and office automation products.
    Work with computer peripherals such as printers and scanners.
    Implement security patches and other security implementation plans.
    Troubleshoot remotely and provide clear instructions to clients.
    Record technical issues and solutions in logs and send unresolved issues to the next level of support.
    Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
    Report customer feedback and potential product requests.
    Create technical documentation and manuals, as well as work tickets.
    Ensure that all open requests are resolved and write and complete reports as needed.
    QualificationsEligible for Public Trust suitability.
    Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer.
    Proficient in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 7 and above.
    Excellent understanding of Windows and software knowledge for building images, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
    Ability to manage and support end-user devices, such as desktop systems and other peripheral equipment.
    Experience in imaging, including creating, testing, and deploying Knowledge of SCCM and Intune is a plus.
    Familiarity with smart cards / PIV cards.
    Previous experience with Office 365, VPN, Active Directory, and Thin Client.
    Knowledge and experience in Conference Room / VTC Setups.
    Working knowledge of Service Now.
