    ***This is a 3-month contract (possible perm) position***

    Our client is an international climate organization with a mission to create equitable climate change solutions worldwide. They do this by forming collaborative, people-focused partnerships that support communities disproportionately impacted by the global climate crisis.

    The People & Culture (P&C) Associate is a vital member of the P&C team who provides support for all internal P&C practices. The primary responsibility of this position is to administer P&C systems and procedures, such as recruiting, payroll, benefits, onboarding & offboarding, workers' compensation management, out-of-state compliance, and assistance with performance management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the entire recruitment process, including creating job postings, sourcing resumes, conducting interviews, and maintaining an applicant tracking system.
    • Collect and evaluate data using valuable metrics, including employee demographics and EEO data.
    • Handle semi-monthly payroll and benefits administration, including monthly billing, audits, and enrollments.
    • Lead the onboarding and offboarding process, including new hire orientation sessions.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure documentation is up to date.
    • Address inquiries related to P&C matters.
    • Support team member engagement and implementation of policies and procedures.
    • Assist with performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback sessions.
    • Coordinate training and development programs.
    • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure P&C compliance.
    • Participate in P&C-related projects and initiatives as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of two years of experience in human resources or related administrative positions is preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Strong experience with Applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    Work Conditions:

    • This position will work from an entirely virtual/home office, which requires prolonged sitting at a desk and working on computer and video platforms. Must be on Eastern or Central time zone.
