    We are seeking a Tableau expert who has extensive experience with Tableau Server installation and configuration.

    The ideal candidates will have excellent presentation skills, experience with Tableau best practices and features, strong customer service and communication experience.


    THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING A MINIMUM 2 DAYS PER WEEK ONSITE

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    Monitor performance of reports and dashboards and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessary.

    Work with BI Team and others to help troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards, assist with design and data development issues.

    Work closely and collaboratively with end users, analysts and stakeholders to ensure best practices are being used, proper training is being offered and issues and questions are being answered promptly.

    Run cleanup and create Tableau Server backups. Enforce Tableau Server Security Policies.
    Partner with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve network/windows Server related issues.
    Serve as backup Server Administrator to install and deploy new versions of Tableau software across all lifecycle environments.
    Create/Modify/Manage Tableau Server Task Schedules. Monitor Tableau Server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
    All other duties as assigned or directed.
    Requirements


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust security clearance.
    Must be willing to work on site near Baltimore, MD at least 2 days per week.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.8 years of demonstrated design and development skills using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.3 years of demonstrated installation, configuration, and administrative support of Tableau or above.


    REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
    Hands-on experience with Tableau Server configuration and maintenance of project, group security, and permissions.
    Hands-on experience installing and deploying new versions of Tableau software across all lifecycle environments.
    Experience building complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau.
    Experience in the creation and use of visualizations and conducting data analysis. Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to work independently or collaboratively is required.

    Thorough understanding of data warehouse techniques (dimensional models and aggregation techniques).IT customer service experience providing user support including providing technical support/resolutions and direction on non-technical aspects of Tableau software.

    Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical/business stakeholders and conversely, communicate business information to a technical audience.

    Experience in adapting to changing environments.

    Candidate must be willing to exercise patience and be able to adapt and respond to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a respectful and positive attitude with team members and stakeholders.

    Experience in conducting training sessions or facilitating business presentations such as user groups.
    Possess the ability to drive insights into actions that improve the teams service delivery or user experience.
    Excellent communication and written skills.


    DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
    Working knowledge of Tableau Prep.

    Experience writing advanced SQL queries and designing data models in Greenplum, Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and DB2.Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation.

    Experience conducting validation and/or user acceptance testing.

    Salary Description

    Up to $157,500 / year
