    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform fine-pitch and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
    • Assemble electronic and electromechanical medical device prototypes
    • Rework, repair, and modify PCBs and wiring assemblies
    • Inspect solder joints using microscopes and visual inspection tools
    • Maintain soldering equipment (soldering stations, hot air tools, reflow ovens)
    • Track and maintain the calibration of laboratory and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, pressure sensors, flow meters)
    • Verify calibration status and ensure traceability per medical standards
    • Maintain calibration records and logs per quality system requirements
    • Identify out-of-tolerance equipment and coordinate recalibration or repair
    • Execute test protocols, verification tests, and engineering studies
    • Set up test fixtures and measurement systems
    • Collect, record, and analyze test data with accuracy and attention to detail
    • Assist engineers with troubleshooting test failures and prototype issues
    • Document assembly procedures, test results, calibration records, and deviations
    • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Design Control requirements
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe R&D laboratory environment
    • Follow ESD, biosafety, and chemical handling procedures
    • Manage lab inventory, tools, and consumables
    • Assist in equipment installation, maintenance, and validation

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3–10 years of relevant experience preferred. Local (MN) candidates prioritized, non-medical experience acceptable.
    • Associate's degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Hands-on soldering experience with electronic assemblies
    • Experience with calibration of laboratory or test equipment
    • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
    • Familiarity with basic measurement tools and lab instruments
    • Medical process experience will add additional value to this role.
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Effective communication and teamwork

    Pay and Benefits

    Pay Range Minimum: $58000 per year

    Pay Range Maximum: $90000 per year

    Compensation and Benefits

    A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
