Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.

• Imaging Mastery: Set up, adjust, and manually maneuver transducers for optimal exams.

• Safety Standards: Implement strict clinical safety and quality control procedures.

• Equipment Oversight: Monitor equipment function and manage "Lock/Tag Out" safety protocols.

• Department Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-ready clinical environment.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all imaging and work-flows meet strict regulatory standards.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) also accepted.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
