- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective prospecting, negotiation, and closing techniques
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to communicate their value propositions to customers effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient order fulfillment
- Oversee the entire sales process from bid preparation to delivery of goods to the final destination
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a distribution, construction, manufacturing, or related industry
- Experience selling products vs. services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
- Aptitude to learn products to ensure you are the subject matter expert for your clients
