    Description
    *JOB DESCRIPTION**Summary/Objective*-Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

    *Essential Functions*· Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.

    • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.
    • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
    • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
    • Observe employee performance; coach/train as needed.
    • Communicate with employees regarding performance or any other issues that need improvement; set goals together. PIPs as needed. Follow up to measure.
    • Complete performance evaluations and meet with employees to review goals, recognize excellent performance.
    • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
    • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
    • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
    • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
    • Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
    • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
    • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
    • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
    • Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
    • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
    • Set up and adjust machines and equipment.

    *Competencies*•Must bring interpersonal and communication (written and oral in English) skills required to interact with various levels of plant personnel.


    • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to operate in a team environment.
    • Ability to prioritize and meet production scheduling goals within specified time constraints.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications.
    • Strong knowledge of production scheduling and inventory control.
    • Strong reporting skills.
    *Supervisory Responsibility*This position has supervisory responsibilities.

    *Work Environment*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to food scents, some food allergens, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

    *Physical Demands*The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    The employee is required climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to XX pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to XX pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work*This is a full-time position. Hours and days of work varied depending on shift and production demands.

    *Required Education and Experience*High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. 2-3 year's experience in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing facility.

    *Preferred Education and Experience*Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
