    To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by assisting licensed personnel in providing direct nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.


    Primary Accountabilities:

    • Associate supports engagement through adherence to the I-CARE commitments.
    • Provides care to patients in a clean and safe environment.
    • Demonstrates effective communication with other members of the health care team and promotes effective team functioning.
    • May have access to IV solutions, authorized medications and supplies as needed for patient care responsibilities.
    • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
    • Collects, records and reports accurate patient information.
    • Delivers basic care to patients as directed.
    • Assists other associates to maintain productivity.
    • Demonstrates dependability, reliability and flexibility.
    • Competently performs routine procedures.
    • Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs, expectations, age, cultural and individual differences.
    • Responds to call light in a timely manner.
    • Utilizes Health First computer systems with regard to order inquiry and patient documentation.
    • Contributes to the patient experience as evidenced by positive patient satisfaction scores and HCAHPs scores for department/medical center and/or written compliments by patients/others as well as consistent performance of purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report.
    • Uses and cares for equipment and supplies economically.
    • Must hold AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
    • Must have current Florida certificate as a Nursing Assistant or completion of Nursing Assistant course and must obtain Certification within four months of hire.
    • Must meet unit-specific care requirements.
    • Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
