    Description

    The QC Microbiology Associate will perform various microbiological facility environmental and utility monitoring (EM) support of sterile product manufacturing. They may also support other microbiological testing methods, laboratory support/maintenance, assist in drafting SOPs/protocols, and support cell therapy manufacturing operations. Other QC Microbiology Associate responsibilities include working collboratively with other associates and manufacturing technicians to support EM. Duties are performed with oversight of QC Microbiology Supervisor/QC Manager.

    Pay Rate: $30-35/hr

    Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs Environmental and Utilities Monitoring and Microbiological testing in support of manufacturing cleanroom facility.
    • Responsible for routine sample testing under GMP or non-GMP modes, laboratory maintenance, and assist in method qualification/validations.
    • Responsible for laboratory maintenance to include cleaning and sanitization of laboratory equipment, laboratory restocking of supplies and inventory.
    • Assist with the drafting of SOPs and work instructions, data entry, and reporting
    • Perform all other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • BS/BA in Microbiology or scientific related field
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience within a cGMP Quality Control setting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
    • Experience in cGMP aseptic processing facility is a plus
    • Experience working in a lab, with basic lab skill knowledge (pipetting, dilutions, titrations, etc.)
    • Proficient Skill in Microsoft Word, Project, and Excel (intermediate skill level for Excel preferred)
    • Basic working knowledge of cGMP manufacturing is a plus
    • Experience in aseptic processing is a plus
