    Senior Developer w/MongoDB (On-Site)

    Cognizant's Digital Engineering

    Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Developer with experience developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our developers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we're doing wrong, so we can fix it, so we can improve on it. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers.

    Location: Louisville, KY (On-Site)

    Responsibilities

    • and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the customer engineering platform using
    • MongoDB integration and optimization efforts, focusing on platform performance and scalability.
    • alongside front-end developers and system architects to ensure a cohesive user experience across the platform.
    • software development standard processes, including code refactoring, unit testing, and continuous integration to maintain code quality and application performance.
    • in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
    • and integrate new technologies and methodologies, such as AWS for cloud services and graph databases for complex data relationships.
    • abreast of the latest trends in software development, network engineering technologies, and microservices architecture to enhance the customer platform.

    Qualifications

    • degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • of 6 years of extensive experience with , specifically in developing scalable web applications and APIs.
    • proficiency with MongoDB; experience with graph databases is highly desired.
    • skills in code refactoring, unit testing, and ensuring code quality through standard methodologies.
    • of Unity (game engine) is considered a strong asset.
    • track record of conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
    • understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture is desired.
    • with AWS and familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure is desired.
    • in Angular or other front-end technologies is highly desired.
    • with TypeScript is a plus.
    • to work in an evolving environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
    • problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
