    Overview:

    Navitas is ready to invest in you We are seeking a High Voltage Battery Test Operator in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will conduct battery testing for our high voltage battery line.

    This is a 2nd shift position 2:30pm - 11:00pm Mon-Fri.

    This position will pay $18.75 per hour

    Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.

    Responsibilities:
    • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
    • Perform daily testing of high voltage battery assemblies using established test system with PC interface.
    • Assist in maintaining calibrations on equipment
    • Utilize data reporting and tracking method for test data
    • Train new personnel in the operation of test equipment
    • Must complete high voltage training and strictly adhere to all safety protocol (PPE in high voltage work area includes tested gloves, full face shield and arch-flash coat)
    • Ensure daily 5S of work area (maintain clean and organized work areas)
    • Be punctual and reliable in attendance
    • Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct
    • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
    • Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
    • Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
    • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
    • Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
    • Physical presence on the job is essential including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary
    • Other duties as assigned by management
    Qualifications:

    Education & Experience

    • A background in battery testing, electrical testing, or laboratory testing
    • Manufacturing environment and electrical equipment operation experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Individuals must be comfortable building products for US military testing and use
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite especially Excel.
    • Capability to read and follow process documentation, testing instructions, and software documentation.
    • Good verbal communication skills (English).
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift 25-pound loads.
    • Good visual acuity.
    • Good manual dexterity with both hands.
    • Flexibility to work an offset shift occasionally in order to accommodate test schedule.

    ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
