    Description


    Job Summary: The Psychologist is responsible for completing neuropsychological and psychological diagnostic interviewing, psychological testing, consultation, report writing, and counselling services (family, individual, and group therapies) for clients of FRHS Behavioral Health Clinic Department.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Provide a patient-centered and trauma-informed welcome, respect, and caring, to develop trusting relationships with individuals. Provide high-quality, culturally competent behavioral health services. Diagnosis of emotional and behavioral disorders.
    • Utilizes individual therapy and group therapy in patients across the lifespan.
    • Provide empirically-validated counseling interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
    • Assessing clients risk, considering their mental health and social needs when performing interventions.
    • Formulating and creating personalized interventions, treatments, and management of clients in coordination with other behavioral health providers in a collaborative practice.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Experience in neuropsychology and or psychoeducational assessment.
    • Experience in differential diagnosis of neurodevelopment disorders.
    • Collaboration with other departments, including those involved in autism evaluations
    • Administration and interpretation of common neuropsychological assessments.
    • Collaboration with patients, parents, teachers, therapist/interventions, and medical professional via written and verbal communication.
    • Maintaining confidentiality of client's treatment and records in accordance with HIPAA.
    • Experience in bio-feedback a plus.
    • Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing.
    • Demonstrated ability in group therapy, group management, individual therapy, and family counseling.
    • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team
    The average range for this position is $36.00- $43.00/hour depending on years of experience.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    •A Doctoral degree in psychology required (PHD or PsyD)

    •Current SD Licensure and Board Certification

    •Experience in pediatric, adult and geriatric neuropsychological assessment is preferred.

    •Highly developed ability in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests, specifically objective, projective, and neurological test batteries.

    •Experience with PTSD related therapies such CBT, Exposure therapy and EMDR.

    •Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing, group therapy, group management, individual therapy, and family counseling.

    •Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

    •Demonstrated skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team.
