    Pipeline Engineer


    with a solid grasp of Python and C++ as used in games and film production and experience building and deploying tools into complex content-production pipelines.

    What You'll Do
    Design and implement Python libraries and tools enabling efficient production workflows
    Write user documentation and design notes for the software you create
    Take ownership of technical issues and drive them to resolution
    Participate in daily scrums and interviews with stakeholders to ensure the successful gathering of requirements, planning, and execution for all tasks involved in delivering a pipeline that integrates with other aspects of the overall project
    Collaborate and contribute with peers in an Agile development environment, including conducting code reviews to ensure quality and standards are maintained
    Identify challenging aspects of integration and deployment of the pipeline in production together with members of the client studio
    Contribute to documenting design, implementation, and usage of the pipeline
    Educate end users on how to take advantage of new capabilities unlocked by the pipeline
    Who You Are
    BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
    4+ years experience developing computer-graphics pipeline tools; at least 2 of those years implementing character rigging tools specifically
    Proven experience scripting Python/PyQt tools for Maya
    Good understanding of the 3D-graphics and mathematics fundamentals supporting creature rigging: trigonometry, linear algebra, matrices, vectors and quaternions
    Solid professional experience in team development using Python
    Solid general programming skills, including knowledge of software patterns, build systems, and optimization
    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
    Self-motivated with strong communications skills and able to work both in a team and independently
    Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    Compensation and Benefits
    The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 to $160,000 plus equity (per qualifications). The base pay actually offered will take into account internal leveling, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors

    Our team is fully remote, working effectively together in real-time. We are at work between US East Coast and West Coast business hours.
