- Support loan officer by coordinating all steps of the loan transaction, from application to closing.
- Complete borrower checklist and documentation.
- Ensure proper approval for note request and any variances from loan presentation summary prior to document preparation.
- Communicate with loan officer, customer and any third parties involved with closing to determine dates and specific needs for loan closing and gather any deficiencies including accepting and applying payments.
- Assemble documentation request packet and ensure adherence to all policies, including bank loan policy, government regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare closed loans for funding and send to input. Process files after closing and prepare to send to post closing.
- Service existing loan files, initiate renewals and/or extensions as loans approach maturity, and other portfolio management and servicing that includes customer contact. Ensure documentation is current in computer software by uploading, indexing, and using appropriate place holders and update covenant ticklers, as necessary.
- Accept, process, and post all Ag Loan deposits, transfers and payments. Understand and use core posting methods including online banking, TMS and block entries. Ability to correct posting errors and non-post issues.
- Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to role. Complete compliance training, follow internal processes and controls as required.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function to this position.
- Ag Loan Assistant experience preferred.
- Bank Experience required preferred.
- Knowledge of lending and loan requirements, loan documentation, collateral evaluation, lien perfection and local, state, and federal regulatory requirement preferred.
- knowledge and understating of all bank policies, bank loan policy, government regulations, procedures, entities, compliance requirements involving commercial/Ag lending preferred.
- knowledge in Microsoft 365 Products and in working with other bank and lending software systems. Including but not limited to Navigator, Director, DocuSign.
