    Job Summary:


    The Manufacturing Engineering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the maintenance, tooling, IT, and engineering departments, facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization.


    Supervisory Responsibility:
    Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department
    Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
    Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
    Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Collaborates with other manufacturers managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across the teams.
    Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
    Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
    Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions, coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
    Assists the Maintenance Supervisors and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department.
    Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements.
    Prepares and implements the departmental budgets.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
    Experience with facility equipment.
    o Alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, dust systems, electrical systems, water and gas.
    Intermediate / Advanced skills in AutoCAD
    o Can create 2D layouts, designs etc.
    o Can read blueprints and create as needed.
    o Can oversee team members using CAD and serve as a plant SME.
    Lean Manufacturing training and minimum of 5 experiences.
    Kaizen methodology
    Familiar with basic problems solving LEAN tools.
    Familiar with 3S / 5S
    Problem solving tools
    o 5Whys
    o Fish bone
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Strong supervisory skills and leadership skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare budgets and records.
    Education and Experience
    Bachelors degree in industrial management, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering field, required.
    At least 8-10years of experience
