Job summary
We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to be responsible for the shipment of goods and supplies of our parts Department. This role works closely with our parts team to ensure our packages are out by their designated timeframes.This position involves counts, weighs or measures items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders and other records. Unloads or unpacks incoming shipments arranges packs or prepares materials and products for display distribution outgoing shipment or storage fills orders for products following order tickets forwards or mails items maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies replenishes assigned inventory sends package tracking numbers to guests via software pulls delivers parts technicians when necessary picks up parts dealers vendors when necessary helps Service Department move cars when needed performs administrative functions as directed by management keeps counter areas clean uncluttered assists all other areas of the Parts Department as needed always maintains professional appearance maintains high ethical standards in all actions a High School Diploma equivalent required valid TX Driver License safe driving record minimum six months shipping receiving experience preferably in Parts department knowledge automotive basic mathematical principles adding subtracting multiplying dividing percentages application ability pay attention detail follow-up internal external guests read interpret documents safety rules operating maintenance instructions procedure manuals read comprehends instructions information English language work well public communicate profesional manner phone Internet person use standard office equipment
