Description

• Responsible for putting empty trailers into docks to be loaded and to pull loaded trailers out of docks.
• Responsible for keeping all trailers in the lot in order.
• Must be able to look out for trailers in need of repair and notify manager.
• Must be able to spot damage on trailers prior to moving them.
• Must be able to communicate with all members of the warehouse Team, other Yard Spotters, OTR drivers.
• Must be able to communicate in a clear and professional manner at all times.
• Demonstrate the ability to fill out DVR logs, paperwork, and other documents required in a neat and legible fashion
• Drivers must perform moves in a timely, efficient, accurate and safe manner.
• Must be able to manage priorities
• Must be able to work beyond the scheduled hours if the needed.
• Must be able to work outdoors year round in all types of weather, day or night.
• Must be well versed in all areas of the equipment operations including: fueling, moving tandems, pre-trip inspections.

• 6+ months verifiable experience in driving yard Trucks or Tractor trailers & moving trailers.
• Must successfully pass a "Motor Vehicle Report" check
• Warehouse experience a plus
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, squatting and crawling
• Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment - continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
• Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (ie pallet jack)
• Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
• Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
• Effective communication skills
• Safety shoes are required
• Must meet company motor vehicle records requirements
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
