Education and Experience
BS in Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer science, or related field. MS preferred.
Minimum 4-8 years of experience performing dedicated data engineering work in a regulated industry (e.g. Medical Devices, Automotive, Aerospace, Pharma).
3+ years of programming experience. 1+ years experience ElasticSearch, 3+ years experience SQL programming / Visualization / data analytics
Skills and Knowledge
Good coding experience in Java and Python
Strong experience in data analytics
Fluent in common data science tools in Python/R (preferred).
Knowledge of database principles, such as relational and non-relational databases, data architecture. Experience in SQL, MongoDB preferred.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP.
Experience with architecting ETL applications.
Experience working with ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana) preferred
Experience creating dashboards
Demonstrates ability to collaborate effectively and work in a matrix organization.
Service orientation towards internal customers
High degree of self-motivation and commitment
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
