    *Please note, this position is located in Lancaster, PA


    Summary:


    Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Part-time)


    Location: Lancaster, PA


    Part-time, 0.3 FTE, 24 hours per two weeks working varied shifts from 6am - 2:30pm. You'll have three 8-hour days, every other weekend, plus 1 winter and 1 summer holiday off.


    Job Summary:


    As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, your role involves administering respiratory care services, offering clinical evaluation, and ensuring technical aspects of care delivery. You'll be caring for patients across different age groups, from neonatal to geriatric.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Administer physician-prescribed treatments/testing as per department policies.
    • Perform arterial blood sample collection and analysis.
    • Manage ventilator support for critically ill patients under physician direction.
    • Provide accurate documentation of services rendered.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care plans.
    • Receive and implement oral orders from physicians.
    • Offer guidance to respiratory technicians and assistants.
    • Engage directly with patients, providing necessary information and support.
    • Assist physicians during procedures as needed.
    • Participate in on-call duties as required.

    Job Requirements:

    • CPR certification.
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner certification by PA State Board of Medicine.
    • Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Program.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1 year of neonatal intensive care experience.
    • 1 year of arterial blood gas punctures.
    • 1 year of ventilator management.
    • Registry through NBRC - 1 year.
