    GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:

    The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the agency's operational efficiency. This leadership role is responsible for managing daily office operations, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the agency's strategic goals and initiatives.
    The Operations Manager will also oversee special projects assigned by senior staff and the Executive Director, requiring strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills to optimize processes and ensure the successful execution of the NMCRA's mission.

    Essential Job Functions

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

    These functions of this role include but are not limited to the following:
    • Manage daily administrative and operational functions of the agency to ensure efficiency and compliance with agency goals.
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate junior staff to maintain productivity and professional development.
    • Oversee the preparation of the CRA's Annual Report, ensuring compliance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 163 Part III
    • Ensure the NMCRA website is maintained and updated as required by Florida Statutes, Chapter 189, adhering to public transparency and accessibility standards.
    • Assess and improve work programs to ensure alignment with priority schedules and organizational objectives.
    • Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to support the Executive Director and senior staff.
    • Assist in budget preparation and financial oversight, including expenditure analysis, financial forecasting, and compliance monitoring.
    • Manage the purchasing process, verify invoices, and oversee approvals for unbudgeted requests.
    • Identify process improvements to streamline operations and enhance overall agency efficiency.
    • Serve as a liaison between the CRA and external stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
    • Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations based on operational data.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director and senior staff
    Minimum Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree required in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring staff.
    • Experience with government reporting requirements, including annual reporting and statutory compliance.
    • Knowledge of financial reporting, and government transparency requirements per Florida Statutes preferred.
    • Florida Redevelopment Association certification is preferred but not required
    • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities and fostering a positive work environment.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Bilingual proficiency (English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole) is preferred but not required.
    • Possession of a valid Florida driver's license.
