Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Beloit, IL

Shift: M-F, 8AM to 4:30PM

Pay: $75K - $100K annually, based on experience + bonus potential

Overview:

The Mechanical Engineer role entails supporting the enhancement and advancement of existing packaging machinery and specifying new manufacturing equipment at the facility. This involves overseeing various tasks such as managing projects, performing equipment assessments, and ensuring project timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Managing projects of different scales and complexities related to pharmaceutical packaging machinery.
• Justifying new equipment procurement and establishing project budgets.
• Assessing whether to produce in-house or engage integrators, depending on project size and complexity.
• Setting project timelines and ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
• Conducting experiments and factory acceptance tests as needed.
• Developing user requirement specifications, equipment change control documentation, bid documents, and testing protocols.
• Generating drawings and bills of material packages when required.
• Reviewing vendor proposals and participating in vendor selection processes.
• Creating and executing validation documents.
