This crucial position is a hybrid role combining Account Management, Customer Service, and Communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple projects while staying focused on the job at hand.
    Job Summary

    The credentialing specialist will act as a liaison between mental health practitioners and insurance carriers nationwide, coordinating all aspects of the credentialing/contractingprocess on behalf of the clinician.


    Essential Functions:

    • Assists mental health clinicians with gathering all documentation and information needed for the credentialing process with each insurance carrier.
    • Enters, updates and maintains data from clinicians into the credentialing database (CAQH)
    • Researches and compiles insurance specific submission guidelines.
    • Completes and submits applications on behalf of clinicians, ensuring accuracy and all requirements are met for application process.
    • Proactively communicates with insurance carriers regularly via phone and email to obtain status updates and ensure requests and requirements from each insurance carrier are met in a timely manner.
    • Communicates clearly with clinicians and insurance carriers as needed to provide timely responses upon request on day to day credentialing issues as they arise.
    • Document all communications between clinician and insurance carrier to streamline the clinician's onboarding process with each carrier.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


    • Trust and dependability is a must
    • Willingness to make outbound phone calls to insurance companies and providers
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
    *Ability to multitask, maintain organization and work on several accounts in unison


    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and clients
