- We have an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates and experienced individuals to join our team as part-time Licensed Practical Nurse professionals.
- Provide quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients based on standards of nursing practice.
- Perform skilled patient-centered nursing care to patients with complex mental and physical illnesses.
- Administer medication and treatments, maintain patient records, promote health education, and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Communicate effectively to convey necessary information and observe equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Current Virginia license to practice as a LPN or license eligible.
- Knowledge of illness and treatment modalities, including medication administration.
- Ability to implement nursing care plans, provide guidance to staff, and supervise nursing staff.
- Effective written, verbal, and sign communication skills.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams and assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Willingness to work overtime in emergencies and complete necessary training certifications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of recovery/trauma informed care.
- LPN experience in psychiatric nursing, working with children in a hospital setting, bilingualism, and veterans are preferred.
