    Description

    Job duties:

    • Carries out Communications Security (COMSEC) Local Element (LE) duties both separately and in conjunction with coworker COMSEL LE.
    • Monitor administrative and physical controls for local COMSEC assets and prepare reports and responses where needed.
    • Provide key management and fill related load of radio and encryption devices.
    • Deploys, manages, and maintains physical and virtual servers, storage appliances, desktops/workstations, and laptops and various MILSPEC hardware.
    • Responsible for scanning and maintaining vulnerability compliance of the management network.
    • Manages and maintains McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) suite to include ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE).
    • Works with Network team and external stakeholders to facilitate connections between sites; Takes lead on IA portion of this task and responsible for MOAs or other agreements/paperwork when necessary for establishing connections.
    • Patch management and maintenance of server, desktop/workstation, and laptop hardware, BIOS, drivers, and any additional software in accordance to IA guidelines.
    • Maintains security documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Continuity of Operations, hardware list, software list and network diagrams) to acquire and sustain facility accreditation
    • Coordinates with external organizations for activities such as requirements gathering, connection requests, and Information Assurance (IA) guidance when required.
    • Provides technical support to lab support staff and the testing community as required.
    • Addresses assigned tickets submitted through the Helpdesk ticketing system
    • Enforces policies for cyber security and safety across the facility.
    • Interacts with vendors and suppliers for system upgrades and warranty replacement.
    Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 yrs hands-on experience in the following:


    • Experience with COMSEC handling and LE functions
    • Experience with IA products such as ACAS, SCAP, STIG benchmark, HBSS
    • DoDI 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
    • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework and AR25-2
    • Familiarity Windows or Linux installation, support, and troubleshooting
    • Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vCenter Server
    • Familiarity with Army Software Baselines and Architectures Certifications (Must meet DoD 8140 & M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II )
    • Security+CE (equivalent or higher) for IAT II
    • Subject matter certification for Windows or Linux environments a plus
