    AD/GPO Engineer

    This position is to support the Department of Energy in Washington, DC (Hybrid)- Must obtain Public Trust

    Responsible for the deployment, provisioning, hardening, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and related cloud services. Utilizes scripting and infrastructure technologies for environment orchestration. Collaborates with cross functional teams for the deployment and ongoing support of cloud services to both internal stakeholders and clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support for implementation, management and configuration of Active Directory and GPO.
    • Will be responsible for active directory population, Group Policies, Server Certificates.
    • Responsible for numerous enterprise servers both Windows, Linux and Azure Cloud.
    • Responsible for server installation and configuration, storage, server roles and daily oversight and maintenance.
    • Close coordination with patch management on version upgrades and vulnerability remediation.
    • Will support various server applications such as; File, Web Services, Print, Application, Virtualization, Remote Access, troubleshooting, performance and reliability.
    • Close coordination with Security Engineering on security baseline configurations and monthly compliance scanning investigation and resolution.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • Prefer certifications in the areas like; CompTIA A+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator or, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate.
    • Professional level certification a plus
    • 7-10 years of experience in IT Operations supporting multiple OS versions of Servers; 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022

    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts and approach to customers.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong working experience with PowerShell Power script.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge with Windows and Linux environments, GPO, SSL, and server management in operational environment.

    Compensation range: (128k - $170k -based upon experience )
