is seeking highly motivated Welders to perform welding tasks of varying levels of complexity using metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding equipment.

This role will be responsible for understanding and applying welding techniques, working quickly & skillfully with their hands and with others to complete components in specified time frame, and will achieve various necessary certifications within the first 90 days of employment.

This is a full-time, hourly position currently hiring for multiple shifts. See descriptions below for pay structures & responsibilities.

Essential ResponsibilitiesLay out / Fit & MIG Weld a variety of structural shapes and plate thicknesses.
Utilize multiple welding machines and processes. Read and interpret drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
Perform visual weld inspection before, during, and after each welding operation. Know and follow safety procedures as required in a specific operation, as well as LPOA quality standards. Identify safety concerns and takes appropriate action.

Demonstrate the ability & willingness to gain knowledge, skills and habits required to perform routine, repetitive and procedural tasks and theoretical knowledge under close supervision.

Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Demonstrate excellent attendance, safety, housekeeping, and general work habits.
Participate in all required training & professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED EquivalentMust be successful in acquiring a 1G and 1F certification within first 90 days.

Valid Drivers License with the ability to travel as needed.
Authorized to work in the United States of America.
Proficient in the English language.
Desired QualificationsAt least 1-2 years previous MIG welding experience. WELDER II (MIG/TIG) - $21.00-$26.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReads & interprets basic blueprints, recognizing issues with drawings when they arise and asking questions.

Accurately performs layout, fit up, cutouts, drill, fabrication, weld joint preparation, build and weld properly all of our less complex jobs Evaluates and monitors weld machine settings per Standard Operating Procedure for proper performance.

Performs visual inspection on own work for incomplete fusion, incomplete joint penetration, undercut, porosity, cracks, bad appearance and correct if necessary.

Moves finished products using rigging straps and chains to safely operate overhead cranes & forklifts. Mentors and assists less experienced welders perform their job in an efficient manner.
Knows and follows safety procedures as required in a specific operation, as well as LPOA quality standards. Wears applicable Personal Protective equipment (PPE) while conducting, or in the vicinity of welding and cutting activities.
Keeps work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Demonstrates excellent attendance, safety, housekeeping, and general work habits.
Participates in all required training & professional development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
