    Description

    SUMMARY

    The Program Manager has overall responsibility and accountability for the success of their assigned projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closing the project. The Program Manager is the focal point for program(s) and is the primary customer interface. He or she is responsible for company compliance to the statement of work and insuring both the customer and the company adhere to the contractual requirements. The Program Manager advances business development opportunities and provides strategic direction, leadership, oversight and training for assigned team members under minimal supervision.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary customer interface, contract, and sales focal for the duration of the program.
  • Actively cultivate positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and interdepartmental teams.
  • Determine, communicate, and satisfy customer requirements
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope.
  • Develop and maintain Program Management Plans which include:Communication PlanRequirements Verification MatrixScheduleResource PlanLabor Burn PlanEstimate to Complete ForecastsCash Flow Analysis Revenue Projections
  • Negotiate Statement of Work (SOW) modifications and Contract Change Orders (CCO), incorporate requirements into the project schedule and enforce payment terms.
  • Act as primary contract administrator, ensuring compliance with the SOW; monitor milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide inputs during proposal phase including scheduling, specifications and financial conditions of contracts.
  • Assemble teams with appropriate members including engineering, production and logistics.
  • Coordinate and prioritize production / engineering / logistics tasks interdepartmentally to meet the following program goals: Scheduling/schedule adherence; Cost and budget control (budget enforcement); SOW compliance, additions, and revisions (over and above); Day to day contract administration.
  • Communicate program performance to all stakeholders through weekly project updates and status reports.
  • Actively assess and manage program risks; use all available information to anticipate and prevent potential problems.
  • Creatively provide reasonable, safe and appropriate solutions to complex problems that may arise.
  • Ensure outside subcontractors are in compliance with specifications and statement of work.
  • Coordinate with Certification staff to ensure all FAA and foreign regulatory requirements are planned for and met and are communicated to the customer.
  • Coordinate and communicate pertinent aircraft issues to all program stakeholders.
  • Chair lessons learned meeting after completion of program - identify strengths and weaknesses; determine and coordinate company improvements in policies and procedures.
  • Provide strategic direction, oversight, and mentorship to other program managers and project team.
  • Develop new business; improve capabilities and product / service offerings to foster relationships with current customers and expand opportunities with potential customers and new markets.
  • Standardize Program Management processes; develop practices, policies and templates.
  • Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall program oversight and that of assigned team members.
  • Lead, manage, coach, train and directly supervise assigned team members.
  • Be accountable for the activities, workflow, work schedules, attendance, and compliance with safety, standards and policies for all assigned staff.
  • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related technical experience.
  • 8-10 years of Industry (engineering, aircraft manufacturing, modification or operations) experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in aircraft supervisory/management.
  • Part MRO experience required.
  • Previous experience in an engineering, interiors completion center or repair station environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, inspection aides and test equipment.
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office, Project software and other company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan work.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and manuals.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) strongly preferred.
