They're currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their operation, focusing on the GMP M1128 Program at their Indian Head, MD location.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage the supply chain for Global Military Products (GMP) within the Department of Defense contracting framework.
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating the best pricing and ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
    • Manage purchase orders from creation to completion, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and delivery of products and services.
    • Handle RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, including creation, submission, and response management.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers and manufacturers, evaluating their performance through a supplier rating system.
    • Support logistics operations with detailed freight information and shipping schedules.
    • Contribute to proposal activities and communicate order status efficiently.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. Department of Defense contracting or subcontracting.
    • High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
    • Experience in the ammunition and explosives industry is preferred.
    • Customer service experience is a plus.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
    • ISO 9001:2015 training is advantageous.
