    Master Data Analyst I
    The Master Data Analyst I works across the whole organization to develop Data Governance and Management practices.

    This role works with Finance and Business Intelligence to ensure we are providing the right data to the correct people.

    This position is a subject matter expert in Data Management across multi-level users to maximize the value of data input, analysis, and business intelligence.


    What you'll be doing:


    Maintain data integrity in assigned corporate master and transactional data sets in the areas of Customer, Product, Contract, Asset, Vendor, User, Contacts, Addresses/Locations, etc.

    Through data profiling, data quality assessment, and data cleansing, ensures master and transactional data conforms to specifications, is suited to its purpose, and meets business needs and expectations.

    Audits critical fields in assigned key data sets, ensures data complies with naming standards and data definitions.
    Identifies inconsistencies within and across systems, identifies sources of data errors and remedies or recommends remedy.
    Runs regular quality inspections of data and creates data quality improvement projects for data not conforming to established standards.
    Facilitates development of business rules for creating, updating, and inactivating records.
    Refines documents and communicates business rules to prevent future errors.
    Works with end user community to enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with data quality standards and processes.
    Manages and monitors data change requests.

    Data Change requests may include account mergers, client ID updates, relationship/LOB changes, new product or component classification, backline vendor changes, etc.

    Works to document and improve Business Processes to better the efficiency and quality of the business and its reporting capabilities.

    Maintains data dictionary for master data (information about data, including name, description, source of data, and key words for categorizing and searching for data item descriptions).

    Using data profiling and metadata management techniques, documents and describes data in terms of meaning, constraints, and relationships.

    What we're looking for:
    Preferred experience in technology or professional services industry.
    Demonstrated skills in the implementation of new systems and policies and procedures.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Bonus Points:

    1 to 3 years' experience in Master and/or Transactional Data Management.
    Ability to write basic SQL queries.
    Ability to create, read and update Power BI Reports and Dashboards.
    Ability to perform research using the Internet.
    Ability to manage multiple on-going projects.
    Excellent, demonstrated, ability to resolve problems using a logical and analytical process.
    Ability to tailor your communication approach based on audience and the materials being communicated.
    Deep level understanding of Microsoft Excel.
