    Overview:

    Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

    The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

    Job Description:

    An amazing opportunity to be a pivotal part of the great Omni convention collection hotel. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel will be a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.

    The Food and Beverage Manager will be in charge of managing Park Grounds Coffee Shop and assisting in other outlets.

    Ensuring all Associates from servers, bussers, bartenders, hosts and others are aligned to perform to their full potential, service according to Omni standards and guests receive superior service.

    The Food and Beverage Manager will help schedule, coach, and mentor Associates. As well as, oversee payroll, assist in managing the flow of the outlets and help deliver positive change to the outlets.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Bring fresh and current ideas to our food and beverage offerings.
    2. Monitor the flow of service in the outlets, ensuring prompt service.
    3. Follow through on out of stock items, IOUs etc, to ensure all par stocks maintained in the outlets.
    4. Perform inventory and ensure par levels.
    5. Train Beverage service staff in beverage service, bar management, bar cleanliness. Manage state alcohol laws (Responsible Alcohol Service) training for all employees.
    6. Engage with guests regularly, ask for feedback and follow-up with concerns.
    7. Ensure teams receive thorough training at all times.
    8. Manage labor hours effectively through scheduling and intelligent assignment of of responsibilities and duties.
    9. Prepare requisition and verify supplies.
    10. Schedule associates and complete payroll.
    11. Conduct standup meetings and department meetings.
    12. Coach, counsel and mentor Associates to success.
    13. Inspect and observe all aspects of the daily operation and follow-up on deficiencies. Make recommendations for change to ensure peak performance.
    14. Develop and implement guest service initiatives.
    15. Assist staff and associates wherever needed to ensure service is never compromised.
    16. Manage reservations effectively to ensure ideal flow in the outlets.
    17. Ensure all staff meet uniform specifications and standards of appearance.
    18. Perform service audits. Follow-up with training and coaching as needed.
    19. Communicate with culinary teams and culinary leadership to ensure seamless and timely kitchen service.
    20. Ensure team is up to date with the latest menu changes and develop positive up-selling techniques with service staff.
    Qualifications:
    • 1-3 years of Beverage or Food & Beverage Management experience.
    • Previous upscale hotel experience preferred
    • Must be able to bend, push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs and stand up to 8 hours.
    • Must be able to work all shifts including AMs, PMs, overnight, weekends, and holidays
    • Must have strong communication and the ability to drive the team towards a common goal.
    • Candidate needs to have a strong understanding of current trends as well as operational financials.
