    Job Description

    Three postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiangming Zha in the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences in School of Pharmacy. The lab investigates neuronal signaling in the brain, focusing on neuronal injury, brain ischemia, and vascular cognitive impairment. The current research emphasis is on the contribution from acid-sensitive GPCRs and acid-sensing ion channels to these processes.

    Desirable experience includes cell and tissue culture, Western blot, PCR, RT-quantitative PCR, confocal imaging, electrophysiology, stereotaxic technique, rodent behavioral analysis, mouse stroke surgery, and management of transgenic and knockout mouse strains.

    Qualifications

    The candidate should have a recent PhD in neuroscience or related field
