    General Function:
    Ensure reliable and efficient operation of district technology infrastructure

    Qualifications

    Preferred 3-5 years of experience in Network Management
    Preferred credentials
    BS or higher in Information Technology (or equivalent)

    Certification or demonstrated skill with each of the following:

    Microsoft Windows server and workstation OS, Chrome OS

    VMWare EXXI

    802.11 wireless technology and Unifi Infrastructure

    Network firewall (Fortinet or equivalent)

    GAFE (Google Apps for Education)

    Working knowledge of logic & web programming

    Responsibilities/Function


    • Network
    a. Web Server & Network Infrastructure Design & Management i. user/group management ii. LDAP iii. Efficiently minimize downtime corporation-wide through managing equipment and communicating with service providers, also through patch management and deployment iv. Develop a plan and support disaster recovery systems b. Network Security Design & Maintenance i. Virus protection ii. Firewall implementation and maintenance iii. Vulnerability assessments/audits c. Software License Management and Deployment d. Data/Database Management (Powerschool)


    • System Administration
    Primary system administrator duties for the following information systems:

    Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and WINS Knowledge

    IPSEC Site to Site VPN Tunnel Management and Deployment

    Google Apps for Education (GAFE) iv. Testing (ECA, ISTEP, WIDA)

    Assure network infrastructure can support testing demands


    Work with Director of Student Services to ensure all servers and workstations have proper updates in a timely manner v.

    Powerschool (SIS)

    Oversee management of 1:1's across all campuses and partnerships

    Build Custom Reports as needed

    Manage and assist with state regulated data exchange implementation vi. Telzio (VOIP) vii. Mobility Print Management b.

    Secondary system administrator duties for the following information systems:
    i. Basecamp (project management) ii. Plato/Edmentum (curriculum) iii. Crossing Website


    • Special Projects
    Along with Director of School Operations and Director of Information Systems, develop and implement systems and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity

    Assist with design, execution and restructuring of new and relocating schools, both remotely and on site


    • Purchasing
    E-rate management and coordination (Category I / Category II)

    Research and make purchasing recommendations

    Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain professional vendor relationships, including printing needs and ISPs

    Oversee assistance with inventory and technology assets

    Develop and manage technology grants and funding sources, including eRate

    Follow SOPs as designated by Finance team


    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of School Operations
    Ideal mix of duties:

    85% office, 15% field

    30% network, 30% system administration, 30% special projects, 10% purchasing

    $60, $68,000.00 per year
