    Role Overview

    Our client is seeking a Print Operations Workforce Manager to oversee large-scale workforce scheduling, labor administration, and operational compliance for a fast-paced, multi-location print operations environment. This leader will manage 120–150+ hourly, shift-based employees across various job sites and time zones. The role requires mastery of scheduling, time tracking, labor cost validation, and real-time workforce coordination.

    This is a demanding, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, high-accountability environments with constant movement, complex scheduling, and operational urgency.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, production, or similarly fast-paced operational environments as a Workforce Manager.
    • Prior experience administering time-tracking systems.
    • Demonstrated success managing 120+ hourly employees; shift-based workforces required.
    • Experience overseeing operations across multiple job sites or geographic regions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on operational needs.
    • High accountability with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Comfortable managing complex operations at scale.
    • Hands-on experience with Workday for scheduling and/or labor administration.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience managing teams across multiple states, ensuring compliance with varying labor laws.
    • Background in construction operations, factory production, field operations, or similar environments.
    • MILCON (Military Construction) exposure is a plus but not required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Scheduling & Workforce Administration

    • Create, publish, and maintain 24/7 rotational shift schedules on a weekly cadence.
    • Manage and scale workforce scheduling from 120 to 150+ employees.
    • Maintain real-time roster updates and respond to daily schedule changes.
    • Administer:
    • Point/attendance system
    • PTO tracking
    • Vacation and sick time accrual
    • Attendance and infraction coordination

    Labor Tracking, Cost Control & Reporting

    • Perform weekly labor services invoicing.
    • Conduct quality control reviews of individual labor hours (typically via PDF review).
    • Perform extensive Excel-based labor cost tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
    • Provide accurate labor data to Finance and Business Strategy teams.
    • Support workforce analytics, including:
    • Workforce planning
    • Demand and headcount forecasting
    • Hiring projections
    • Dashboard/report development for cost control

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with the Purchasing Manager to create and manage purchase orders (POs).
    • Collaborate with Accounting/Finance to ensure accurate labor cost allocation and offloading.
    • Escalate operational issues promptly to maintain workforce compliance and operational standards.

    Systems & Tools

    • Workday (primary scheduling and labor administration platform).
    • Procore & Procore Pay (system of record; used for checklists, approvals, and payments).
    • Business Intelligence tools (for labor cost QC and data visualization).
    • No Palantir Foundry experience required.

    Workforce Planning & Analytics

    • Recommend and implement strategic workforce planning initiatives.
    • Collect, interpret, and present workforce metrics for improved operational efficiency.
    • Provide insights to leadership on labor demand, staffing needs, cost trends, and optimization opportunities.
