- Provides administrative support for the coordination and administration of the degree programs, e.g., initiating recurring administrative processes related to the academic calendar, assisting with correspondence/reports, assisting in the completion of reports and questionnaires by researching and gathering the required information, and managing of software systems.
- Maintains various programmatic databases and/or spreadsheets, with an emphasis on accuracy and error reduction.
- Assists in the admission and registration of students.
- Assists faculty by answering questions and providing information, locating desired information and materials, and assisting with the management of clinical placement of students.
- Provides assistance to students with questions about classes, clinical, registration, permissions, etc. using established guidelines, and connects students to appropriate individuals when student questions are outside their scope or understanding.
- Maintains excellent communication and fosters working relationships within the GBCN, the university, and outside institutions.
- Participates in the organization and coordination of GBCN events as directed.
- Uses innovation and creativity to improve workflow efficiencies and processes within the management and delivery of programs.
- Ability to manage software to enter/track/evaluate student credentialing data
- Communicates effectively, verbal and written, while performing job functions daily and fosters working relationships with colleagues

Job Details:
The Academic Support Associate provides direct assistance to members of administration, faculty, staff, and students in the College of Nursing.
The academic support associate uses judgment, teamwork, and initiative in supporting the College of Nursing faculty, students, and staff, as well as the university-wide community.
Duties are accomplished independently within well-defined procedures, and some tasks may require direct supervision from faculty or members of administration.
The academic support associate maintains excellent communication skills, which fosters working relationships with all members of administration, faculty, students, and staff, the university-wide community, and outside institutions.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma/GED and two years of administrative support experience are required.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other software programs for data entry and data retrieval to maintain program databases for programmatic outcome measures and to complete reports.
