- Greet and register patients in a timely and professional manner
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Obtain necessary signatures and consent forms from patients or their legal representatives
- Enter patient information into the electronic medical records system accurately
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist with answering phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in registration or admissions
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
