    Duties


    • Serve as an Information Management Specialist in the Directorate of Information Management (DIM).
    • Serve as the facility manager which plans the resource and cost distribution for the Information Management (IM) accounts.
    • Serve as the resource manager for the Information Management Office.
    • Prepare and review the annual and mid-year Information Management (IM) budget.
    • Prepare all Government Orders and monitors the funding.
    • Plan and coordinate Information Management (IM) contracting activities.
    • Purchase and track all Information Management (IM) type buys and ensure funds are available.
    • Prepare Excel spreadsheets, reports, statements of work and cost studies and familiar with Army contracting

    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • May be required to lift typical office equipment like records, files, computers, etc.
    • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
    • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually
    • Position may be filled as a time limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed five years by a current permanent Army employee
    Time limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years.


    • Time limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however, return rights may be impacted.
    • Position may be made permanent without further competition.

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes: Monitor the Information Management (IM) facility accounts, operating budgets, and associated funding obligation requirements; Perform administrative, financial, and technical support for the Directorate of Information Management (DIM); Review monthly budget cost reports with regard to budget submission and recorded expenditures for accuracy and compliance; and Serve as point of contact (POC) for contracts and purchase requests for the agency
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)
    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11)
    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify
    For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted
