    Axcex Media, LLC, headquartered in Richmond, VA, seeks a full-time experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician - must have Fire Alarm installation experience - based out of Richmond, VA.

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Meet all Position Requirements as listed below.
    • SAFETY: Provide leadership and supervision that results in a safe work culture and understands and accepts accountability and liability on site; Understanding and compliance of all OSHA requirements; effective communication and execution of all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures; Facilitation of mandatory safety meetings, initial safety and hazard assessments, Participation in safety/incident investigations, Ensuring vehicle and equipment checks are carried out.
    • LEADERSHIP & SUPERVISION: Coordination of the crew and must understand and consistently apply the general foreman's policies. The site foreman is required to be involved and supportive of any day-to-day disciplinary decisions; Communicating the job to and with the crew; Assigning crew tasks; Recognizing, addressing and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members; Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity; Applying the principles of workplace respect on site; Ensuring crew compliance with project policies and procedure; Ensuring crew compliance with company policies and procedures
    • PLANNING & SCHEDULING: The Fire Alarm Installation Technician is accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring that crews under his/her direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals; Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew; Working with the crew to overcome work challenges; Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production.
    • EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: The Fire Alarm Installation Technician must champion an inclusive employee relations culture, is accountable for the adherence to policies and procedures by the crew to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment; Recognizing, addressing and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members; Promoting, supporting and facilitating teamwork and harmony between all crew members by promoting and fostering a positive, visible teamwork attitude among all crew members
    • QUALITY CONTROL: The Fire Alarm Installation Technician is accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards; On-site assessment prior to commencing work to ensure that the job is ready, and addressing any concerns; Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans; Inspecting and measuring completed work
    • ADMINISTRATION: The Fire Alarm Installation Technician is accountable for the preparation of reports as required by the employer; Maintaining site foreman's log & site reports; Preparation of daily production records; Reporting on work progress; Completing MTO quality reports; Daily time keeping & reporting; Worker violation reports; Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and disciplinary measures.
    • Perform other assigned duties as requested by immediate supervisor and/or management.


    BASIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Lead position requires 3-4 years of Security and Fire Alarm experience.
    • Management or Supervisory experience required.
    • Applicants MUST have reliable transportation.
    • Occasional mandatory travel outside of your territory, as required to meet client demand and deadlines.
    • Applicants must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
    • Must have a Clean Driving Record for the past 3 years (No suspensions within the last 3 years).
    • Ability to share a hotel room while on travel.
    • Comfortable with heights and stable on a ladder.
    • Ability to carry 75 lbs.
    • Ability to pass a background check and routine drug tests.
    • Ability to ensure our 100% Tobacco, Vape AND Drug Free work environment.
