    Description

    In this role, you will report to TDengine's SVP of Alliances. By design, this is a cross-functional role. You will work closely with our Product Engineering team, Customer Success Managers, Account Executives, and Partner Alliance Managers. Your primary responsibility will be to support our SVP of Alliances in the development of a healthy and effective partner ecosystem as measured by Alliance Program Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

    Day to day work will include delivering presentations, demos, and integration architectures to partners and prospects that showcase TDengine products and highlight the business value that partner companies can derive from adopting those products. From time to time, you may be asked to step in and work alongside Forward Deployed Engineering colleagues on the delivery of short-term professional services engagements. Since our Alliance and Customer Success teams are lean, you may also be asked to collaborate with Customer Success Managers to deliver demos and presentations to potential new users and stakeholders inside existing accounts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage with senior business and technical decision makers to understand business objectives and demonstrate the value of TDengine products; understand key technical objections and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
    • Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to support the technical relationship with existing and prospective partners, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-value work.
    • Partner directly with TDengine R&D and Product teams to prioritize solutions impacting partner adoption.
    • Work hands-on with TDengine partners and prospects to demonstrate and support product integrations in customer/partner environments.
    • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement TDengine-based solutions using best practices.
    • Deliver target pre-sales technical presentations and product demonstrations to partners.
    • Own and lead RFP responses that drive new opportunities.

    Experience:

    The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical and business data engineering and analysis skills that have been honed over 7+ years in one of the following industries:

    • Manufacturing (Process and/or Discrete)
    • Energy
    • Power and Utilities
    • CPG
    • Life Sciences
    • SaaS Software firms that service the above industries

    Additionally, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and accustomed to designing and presenting solutions that contain or are a part of:

    • Corporate IoT Transformation Initiatives
    • Digital Twins
    • Data Lakes
    • Data Models
    • AWS IoT Services
    • Microsoft Azure IoT Services
    • AVEVA/OSIsoft products
