Senior Director of Recruiting ( Remote )
Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for talent acquisition and team development? We're seeking a Senior Director of Recruiting to lead and support our recruiting goals across our general practice and emergency and critical care veterinary hospitals.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping our talent strategy and driving recruitment efforts across multiple locations.
Location:
On-site or Remote (with 30% travel required for practice visits, key events, sponsored events, and conferences).
Reports to:
Chief Veterinary Officer
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of recruiters to meet hiring goals and objectives across both branches of the organization – general practice and emergency hospitals.
Evaluate and optimize recruitment tools and technologies.
Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
Spearhead veterinarian, practice manager, and paraprofessional recruiting efforts, including conducting interviews, guiding candidates through the hiring process, and negotiating offers.
Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, actively participating in strategy development and serving as a key leader.
Partner with the executive team to establish recruitment targets and work closely with the Chief Veterinary Officer and Director of Operations to achieve them.
Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives, while monitoring performance and providing support and guidance to team members.
Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and open communication within the recruiting team and across the organization.Identify and cultivate sourcing pipelines through various methods such as networking, referrals, marketing, direct sourcing, conferences, and career fairs.
Develop metrics to measure recruiting effectiveness and provide insights to inform strategic adjustments. Regularly report on results.
Continuously enhance the candidate experience, striving to create a best-in-class recruitment process.
Qualifications
Track record for success in recruiting, building, developing, and managing a team
Recruiting leader with proven record of achieving goals
Eye for talent and the ability to exercise quick, solid people judgment and accurate decision making
A strong interest in working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
Exceptional time management, multi-project management and overall task prioritization
Highly self-motivated and directed; takes strategic initiative
Focuses on continuous improvement and looks for ways to streamline processes
Demonstrated expertise in extracting, analyzing, and translating data
Knowledge of labor regulations and willingness to stay current on labor law changes in states of operation
Practiced in recruiting on social media platforms
Experience
Minimum of 5+ years' experience in full-cycle recruiting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or people management role.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
