NATURE OF THE ROLE:
The Call Center Representative/Patient Services Specialist - Float will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and proper check-in and check-out procedures. They should have a good understanding of checking in and out patients, verifying insurance, completing demographics, and scheduling patient visits.
This position plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to clinic policies and procedures. Daily contact with the Lead/Supervisor for Clinic placement is expected.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Reports to Patient Services Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Minimum age of 18
+ Preferably with medical/dental office experience
+ Strong customer service background
+ Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and the public
+ Basic computer skills required
+ Proficient in phone etiquette
+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check-in/out patients, collect co-pays, and manage account balances
- Enter sliding fee information when necessary
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments
- Answer calls professionally and direct them appropriately
- Maintain provider schedules and make appointments accordingly
- Participate in staff training events
- Protect patient confidentiality following clinic policies
- Guide departmental employees on clinic procedures
- Keep workspace organized and maintain a professional demeanor
- Uphold the mission of the organization and community health values
- Address patient complaints effectively
- Complete departmental reports promptly
- Perform other assigned duties
