What the position is:
The Director of Business Intelligence & Data Strategy will report to the VP of Enterprise Optimization, with the core responsibility of advancing CommuteAirs data strategy and governance, and business analytics and insights.
This position is critical to improving the analytical rigor, agility, and speed of decision-making across the company, as well as enabling a culture of data literacy and democratization.
It requires a balance of analytics expertise, technical skills, business strategy, and strong communication and teamwork.Essential functions:
Build and oversee the business intelligence and analytics function for the organization Responsible for a suite of dashboards, tracking of key metrics, and other key data analytics tools to provide meaningful insightsLead data analytics projects, including performance of quantitative analyses, forecasting model development and testingProvide accurate and timely responses to ad-hoc data analysis requestsHelp to foster a culture of data-driven decision making, serving as a consultant to the rest of the organization to define their data and analytics needsPartner with IT to build an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to serve as the foundation for CommuteAirs analytical processes and tools Define and implement C5s data strategy and associated data architecture development plan; maintain a modern and user-friendly data architectureDefine and implement the business and technology requirements for data collection and management across multiple platforms and systemsEnsure data accuracy and proper data governanceOther duties as assignedGraduate degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related coursework in data analytics, data visualization, or performance measurementHighly analytical, with a minimum of five years experience in an analytical, business-facing role; prior aviation-related experience strongly preferredExperience with data warehousing solutions, including modeling and analyzing large data setsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPossess a high level of expertise and creativity in modeling business scenarios and building forecasting tools; experience with multiple statistical modeling techniquesHigh level of proficiency with BI tools (PowerBI and/or Tableau), SQL, Python, and statistical analysis softwarePrior experience leading a team of analysts and working with cross-departmental teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
