Insurance Verification Specialist / Insurance Benefit Coordinator

North Phoenix, AZ (Fully Onsite)


Pay:
$19-$22/HR

Duties:
Doctors refer their patients and then the person in this role will give the patient a call and collect their insurance benefit information

From there, the person in this role will reach out to the payer and confirm the insurance information, in network deductibles, etc.

they will then call the patient back and explain this information to them
The person in this role will also request Authorizations from the payer for the medication needed
The person in this role is the first point of contact a patient has
Specialty pharmacy and injectables company so is important that the person in this role can identify if the payer is giving them the wrong information (thinking it is a simple providers office visit instead of realizing specialty pharmacy)
Currently, the company is receiving about 50 to 75 new referrals a day and this is split among the team to support (each day they get their cases to work)
Mix of inbound and outbound calls


Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9AM-5:30PM

1+ Year Of Experience With Healthcare Insurances

Exposure To Prior Authorizations
Excellent Phone Etiquette

Specific experience working on the payer side (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Aetna, etc.)
