- Develop and execute global supply chain and sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, quality, and service objectives.
- Lead and manage the global supply chain and sourcing team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives and overseeing adherence to quality and quantity requirements, terms, pricing, delivery, and shipment methods tailored to the company's needs.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of suppliers to build strong partnerships and ensure the best value.
- Implement best practices in supply chain and sourcing to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to align supply chain and sourcing activities with business needs.
- Monitor global market trends and economic conditions to anticipate and respond to changes that may impact the supply chain and sourcing operations.
- Responsible for implementing and executing Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects to reduce Bill of Materials (BOM) costs, closely collaborating with other functions such as R&D to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain and sourcing, promoting ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility.
- Implement and maintain supply chain and sourcing KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in global supply chain and sourcing operations.
- Develop and manage the supply chain and sourcing budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Benchmark affiliates and competitors for Best-in-Class practices.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate cost models and act as a direct liaison to R&D and manufacturing, ensuring requirements are fulfilled and supplier capability is maintained.
- Foster strong ties with our manufacturing site in Mexico, where key personnel in the supply chain and sourcing functions are located.
- 5+ years of Leadership experience in supply chain management and sourcing.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Excellent Leadership and interpersonal skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
- Proven track record of implementing and executing savings initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) supplemented with a collegial approach, resulting in open sharing and collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels across the business, and passion for flawless execution.
- Proven ability to employ strategic and tactical analysis dynamically as required.
- Pragmatic, enterprising, motivated, and resilient with the drive, enthusiasm, personal urgency, and commitment necessary to inspire the company to "get things done," both effectively and efficiently.
