    Insight Global is seeking a Field Engineering Manager for one of our clients who is in the field of education management.

    Our client is a growing leader in the education space, operating schools and educational programs around the world that span the life of a student from early learning to higher education.

    We need someone who has experience managing technical support individuals, traveling onsite weekly to establish procedures, and ensure operational readiness for all of the environment's technologies.

    This is a direct hire opportunity.


    As the Field Engineering Manager, you will directly manage four individuals with a dotted line to about 30 individuals all of which who operate as Field Technicians.

    The field technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining smartboards, electronic whiteboards, projectors, printers, etc. in a school environment. You will be responsible for mentoring and providing leadership to these technicians to increase overall performance and job satisfaction. You will be the escalation point for all site leadership and be required to respond in a timely manner.

    Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Create and foster a service-based relationship with school leadership and personnel to maintain awareness of site satisfaction and issues
    • Create and foster a relationship to monitor and assure customer satisfaction levels with school leadership (head of school, director, regional vice president, etc.) for all assigned schools
    • Collaborate and communicate with all applicable partners to elicit the highest levels of adherence to contractual obligations and cooperation / assistance in nondefined needs
    • Maintain an effective understanding of Information Technology as it progresses over time and contribute ideas to develop new solutions.
    • Create and maintain detailed records & notes relating to projects, hardware, procedures, etc.
    Must-haves

    • Experience working in an IT environment in a school setting
    • Experience troubleshooting IT technology specifically Windows machines
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Experience managing people
    o Ability to coach, mentor, motivate and provide disciplinary action as needed

    • Strong relationship management skills
    Plusses

    • Experience with Chromebook support
    • Experience in a quality assurance type role
